Homeschool Pottery: Handbuilding & Wheel Throwing (12 Weeks)

Join us for a fun and creative 12-week pottery journey designed specifically for homeschool students! This hands-on class introduces students to both handbuilding and wheel throwing techniques while encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and artistic expression.

Throughout the session, students will learn foundational pottery skills including pinch pots, coil building, slab construction, wheel throwing, trimming, glazing, and surface decoration. Projects are designed to build confidence and develop skills progressively while allowing students to create unique pieces they can be proud of.

Students will experience the complete pottery process from raw clay to finished glazed artwork. Along the way, they’ll learn about clay preparation, proper tool use, studio safety, and the science behind firing and glazing.

No previous pottery experience is necessary. This class is perfect for beginners who want to explore clay as well as returning students who wish to continue developing their skills. All materials, tools, glazing, and firing fees are included.
