Meet Elizabeth
Elizabeth is a lifelong artist and teacher who loves helping others discover creativity through music and pottery. She began playing in orchestras and chamber groups at the age of eight and has been teaching music lessons since she was seventeen. Elizabeth performs as a violist with the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra and regularly plays in chamber groups for weddings and special events. She first discovered pottery in college while studying graphic design and quickly fell in love with working with clay. What began as a college class grew into a lasting passion, and she has continued learning and growing as a potter ever since.
Elizabeth is deeply passionate about teaching and helping students discover confidence, creativity, and joy in the learning process. As a former art teacher and longtime private instructor, she believes the most meaningful learning happens when students feel free to explore, make mistakes, and develop their own artistic voice. She especially loves how pottery invites students to slow down, work with their hands, and embrace the beauty of the process. Whether guiding a young musician through their first song or helping a student shape their first clay piece, Elizabeth strives to create a welcoming environment where students not only learn skills but also develop a lifelong love of music and art.
